Mark-Anthony Ashfield, a partner at Deloitte, is living the dream. In October, Deloitte and the Saint John Sea Dogs partnered to launch “Discovery Zone”, a unique fan experience at Harbour Station. For the price of a game ticket, fans over 16 years of age can experience this exclusive and interactive space that provides an immersive fan experience using the latest and greatest technology. Breaking through at Breakthru

One of the highlights of my year was attending NBIF’s popular Breakthru LIVE 2015 event a few weeks ago. The event was a huge success with over $750,000 in prizes given out to group of budding entreprenurs to help them start up their company – a record setting amount. It’s the largest start-up competition of its kind in Canada.

Breakthru, New Brunswick’s Business Plan Competition, encourages the creation and development of entrepreneurial, innovative business ventures. Hosted by the New Brunswick Innovation Foundation (NBIF), Cox & Palmer and Deloitte, this province-wide start-up competition provides participants with a unique opportunity to access start-up capital, mentoring, and support.
